
Bodo's designs are internationally renowned for conveying a comprehensive detailed understanding of materials and design.
Whether artistic direction or product design, his passion for materials and his sense of aesthetics have repeatedly led to his work being recognized by leading international design publications and awards.
After studying at the University of the Arts in London and receiving the Sainsbury and Crafts Council Grant, Bodo set up his own studio in 2000. He cemented his reputation by designing home accessories for household names such as the iconic fashion store Browns in London.
Originally specializing in ceramics, Bodo works with renowned star chefs and exclusive restaurants. His ceramic collections are produced in collaboration with renowned manufacturers all over the world. These include names such as Dibbern from Germany, Lladró from Spain, Thomas Goode from England and Nikko from Japan.
Over the years, Bodo expanded its repertoire. This was followed by collaborations with a wide range of other industries, from furniture to television manufacturers. Each unique project challenges his skills as a product designer and artistic director. His enthusiasm often lies in the rejuvenation of traditional brands such as Tane, a silverware company based in Mexico. He has also gained extensive experience working with international clients and leading luxury brands such as Mulberry, Agent Provocateur and Swarovski.
More recently, his work has taken him into the world of high-end home technologies. For his work with the renowned German brand Loewe, he received considerable recognition in the global press for his product designs. This was followed by winning the Wallpaper* Design Award, the Land Rover BORN Award, the Red Dot Award and the IF Design Award.
From fine tableware and home entertainment to collaborations with Michelin-starred chefs and global brands such as LVMH Group and Loewe, his work covers a wide range of industries in the luxury segment and has led to a wealth of experience in the design industry. Last but not least, his collaboration with Nya Nordiska should be mentioned, which has played a central role in his foray into the textile world.
