MÜNCHNER STOFF FRÜHLING 2020

INTERIOR AWARD 2020

For the first time, the Münchner Stoff Frühling INTERIOR AWARD 2020 honors exceptional textile projects in five categories.

Interior decorators, interior designers, furnishers, interior designers and architects were invited to submit their work in advance. An independent jury decided on 140 entries in five categories. The decision was based on the successful use of textiles in conjunction with the high quality of the work, a particular creative achievement and the aesthetics produced.

The jury was made up of the following people: Anne Gelpke (Editor-in-Chief DECO Home), Annette Brunner (Chairwoman BDIA Bavaria), Barbara Friedrich (former editor A&W), Pascal Walter (textile designer and stylist) and Klaus Scharf (Chairman Münchner Stoff Frühling e.V.).

At the suggestion of the jury, no prize was awarded in the DESIGN category. The reasons for this are that the applications submitted in this category did not meet the criteria. In addition, the minimum number of applications required to enter the competition was not reached. On the other hand, there were many outstanding entries in the CONTRACT category - predominantly projects from the hotel and restaurant sectors - so the jury decided to select one winner each in the CONTRACT/restaurant and CONTRACT/hotel categories.

A special prize from Münchner Stoff Frühlings was also awarded to the best pop-up showroom and the best local showroom.
