Green Beetle
The Green Beetle is the vegetarian-vegan offshoot of the traditional Käfer restaurant and lives up to its name. The Munich based architect duo Thomas Mang and Stefan Mauritz have brilliantly understood how to merge recycled materials with natural raw materials, high-quality manufactured materials and upcycling products into a carefully shimmering green and therefore uncompromisingly modern overall experience. The granite at the entrance is a stone slab from Dresden’s city center and the parquet on the gallery used to be a 40-year-old gym floor. Outdoor chairs are made of recycled sea litter, and the cuisine offers sustainably processed food from ecologically responsible sources.
